The Sydenham House
My philosophy, a focused vision and a timeless design. I love modern organic design that blends clean lines and open space with natural materials like re-purposed wood and metal. Finding the balance between old and new.
This 800 sq. ft. cottage was completely gutted in order to create a loft style open concept living. The dividing glass wall and open staircase as you walk in is a complete showstopper. Rustic white ash flooring throughout to give it the illusion of a much bigger footprint. The mixture of concrete, steel and wood is applied through the entire space giving it a modern industrial feel. We created an open second floor mezzanine concept to give the space a dramatic overlook from the loft to the kitchen & sitting area. Lighting plays an important role in my designs as I love creating ambiance and focal points. The result is a perfect small space living with an incredible flow.
